TSA screeners at PDX SFO LAX are slow as molasses after Istanbul & Brussels.

We just landed in SFO. The outbound lines are very long.
What about the TSA screeners in Eugene .... you know, the airport most people will be flying out of after the trials ?
Too many pole vaults, that's why ;-)
Always fighting the last war. They go after soft targets. In Istanbul the terrorists didn't successfully smuggle weapons through security and then shoot up the airport; they carried them in the front door and started blasting away. Just maybe there should be more cops parked outside and/or patrolling the areas outside the secure gate areas instead of doubling down on passenger searches which have yet to produce a failure.
I expect the lines at OAK to be as long as hell when we fly back July 14.

Doesn't matter going home.
If you get stuck in PDX at night, there is one and only one all-night store there. Approaching from landside, turn left toward the left-hand TSA area. Along the wall outside the ropes to the right of that area are a few businesses. At the very end of the little corridor between the rope and the wall, sort of hidden from view, is the all-night store.

The lines at 1OAK are always long but I don't know what that has to do with travelling.
Those TSA agents wearing hibbyjibbies is the problem.
