Hi, I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice on what I should do for summer training. This past year went terrible. I had multiple fractures in my foot and leg which caused me to miss all almost my freshman year. My only 8k run was a time trial in 28:45 and at the time I was running roughly around 50-55mpw I took about 2 -3 months off and didn't start running again till February. April came around and i ran a 1500m in 4:15 and an 800 in 2:01off only easy runs and strides. After the season was over, our coach left so now I'm having to make a summer plan on my own.
For the past month I have just been running 5-6 mile easy runs w/ strides and cross training to keep myself healthy
What should I do for these next two months of summer training considering all the injuries I have dealt with in the past?
