.....fool.....
Just posted in the Clayton Murphy thread about this. Thought it was NB?
Is he staying with his current coach?
So i've heard.
WTF?

Nike must have matched NB's offer.
If there are no reductions he should buy Boris a beer.

Not for a couple years.
Today Nike's ROFR with Boris Berian expires, as Dec 31 + 180 days was yesterday. Boris is free today to receive offers and sign a contract. Coincidence?
Pretty sure NB was never a serious contender. Sounded like it was going to be adidas, but Nike crushed their offer. Speculation is the numbers are bigger than what Flotrack was predicting. But, that is just what I am hearing from people who weren't involved in the negotiations, but are "in the business."
No wonder Nike dropped the Boris lawsuit........they had Donavan waiting in the wings.
Wouldn't we all like to see the terms and fine print of this contract? Any reductions clauses?
Tough break for Brazier.
Hate to say it, but my initial reaction was that I'll root against him from here on out.
They've been protecting too many dopers athletes and coaches for too f%$#ing long.
You're an idiot.
Thanks for your well-reasoned argument, friend. Hugs and kisses.
At this point, every track athlete on earth knows what Nike is about. If they want to take the extra cash and support the supporter of the Russians, AlSal, Lance, Gatlin, etc ad nauseam, that's fine... But I'll root for the folks wearing other brands.
