Hopefully he's not running. He has stunk it up the last two years and spends all his days on Twitter promoting Sheila Reid's hyperfeminist agenda. Sad!
I feel bad for him. He ran extremely well at Stanford and his first two years as a pro were good as well but last year and this year have just been rough. I'm hoping a miracle happens Friday for him but it is very unlikely.
HE IS NOT RUNNING FRIDAY.
Isn't he more of an XC guy anyways?
The 10000 has had 2 years to Hit the qualifying standard. TWO YEARS. Anyone that considers themselves a professional track distance runner is qualified for the trials. You can't blame sickness or injury when you have 2 years.

Derrick is at least 100 times smarter than you.
Is Derrick the only US professional runner in his 20s who didn't make the Olympic Trials?

I can't even imagine that reduction clause.

He will make it in the 5000m.
And get DFL with the way he's running

Well he sure does a great job hiding it then.
So he qualified for 5,000 m??

He will make it in the 5000m.
Remember when clowns on this board picked Chris Derrick to make the Olympic Marathon Team?
This board and its predictions can always bring a smile to my face.
The guy that was too fragile to run a sub 28:15 over the last 2 years was going to get enough work in to make the Olympic Marathon Team?
PRICELESS
equally important: has German Fernandez declared for the 10k?
yes

Chris Derrick BTC / Bowerman Track Club 13:19.56 qualified
He is qualified. Doesn't look like he has declared though.

So if it wasn't sickness or injury what do you think it was?

THAT HE IS DONE.
Expiration dates are very individual. His teammate Elliot Heath was done at 22.
