Hey Letsrun, recently I've been very curious on long term success for high school runners. What mainly sparked this thought was always hearing about the secret training of Galen Rupp and Alberto Salazar starting gun when Rupp was only 14. I know that this is very confidential and few no about it however I want to know from you all what a long term plan looks like.
Just some background info I will be a sophomore in high school this fall and my biggest goal is to be the best I can be. And being the best I can be obviously means not burning out in high school or running to much, but rather setting myself up to be my best in college and beyond. I love running and it's something I hope to do my whole life.
So anyone who could help, I greatly appreciate. All I'm really looking for is just a rough outline or a quick example. Thanks!
