As for the british it could be any number of breeds that the English have played a part or whole role in developing. Some folks think of bull dogs and Winston Churchill while others could think of high society dogs or dogs bred for hunting. Among those dogs there is a great variety.
Did you actually NOT know there was a thing called the English Bulldog?
The Bull Terrier (Patton's dog) also has English origins. As does the springer spaniel. Hey, look at me, acting as if this was a serious question.
