Just wondering if anyone knows of a reasonably fast 10K (preferably certified) in the Bay Area in late August or September? Thanks!

good question. San Francisco Giants Race is all I can think of, September 11th. flat course, early start
i think you missed your chance with the Marin Memorial Day 10k having just happened. there are likely some in SoCal though
i don't know of any in the Bay, and did a quick search with no results. There is a 10k at the San Jose rock n roll half on Oct 1, but it's usually a weak field because everyone is racing the half, which is incredibly competitive. Fall is half marathon season with some fast 5ks happening on Thanksgiving
spring is for 10ks
try the Giants Race wrote:

I concur with the above analysis. There are not a lot of 10ks in the Frisco Bay Area in the fall...
It's little later in the season, but San Jose and Sacramento both have competitive Turkey Trots (10k and 5k in Sacramento, 5k-only--I think--in San Jose).
