I'm 6 feet, weigh 156, & have some body fat that I gained after XC season. Ever since I started lifting and eating more.. I want to lose it and get lean.. what should I do? I'm preparing for my first season of college XC.

Paleo for Athletes
https://www.amazon.com/Paleo-Diet-Athletes-Nutritional-Performance/dp/160961917XQuit eating things with any added sugar. Whole fruit is OK.
Went vegan plant based , lost fat and gained some muscle but overall look sooo much leaner. I got much much faster too. I am close to 6 feet so i feel you we have more trouble loosing the fat for some reason.
Check Sage Canday fat loss video.
Just run and get your base in over the summer. The body will follow. That is unless you are RY and run 70+ mile days with no effort or signs of physical exhaustion. In that case, you are screwed.

^ this, I'm a huge fan of Canaday's YouTube channel. He has absolutely got the right idea when it comes to nutrition (in my opinion). Not 100% vegan but I am a big advocate of plant-based eating.

Right answer.
Vegan works for very few people. It's very risky to try while trying to build volume.

Eat the same thing every day, and make it something really simple.
For example -- eggs, potatoes, beans, yogurt, bananas.
Not exactly measured portions, but eat just enough to satisfy the hungry stomach. Eat primarily 3hrs before, and soon after workouts. 2 weeks of this should be enough to lose a few pounds.
i feel bad for anyone who has to go vegan for their weight, i eat whatever i want and im lean
Okay sounds great that's what I been doing i'm definitely going to cut a lot of junk food and unwanted sugar. I'm also running a lot atm so I should see progress. I was also thinking of doing core consistently

Sounds like you're on the right track.
Also, lifting tends to burn a good deal of calories and increase your metabolic rate. You might gain a little muscle but you'll lose fat, and you don't have to worry about more muscle at your height.
I got a plug down in the ATL jus let me know what you want fam
Codeine crazy
Like deadlifts, lunges, squats, and some upper body?
You have to eat less than you burn, so whatever diet lets you do that will work. Generally, I just avoid high calorie/non-filling foods like beer/milk/juice/soda and anything sugary. Add some caffeine for the appetite suppressant effect.
Don't do this in hard training for very long or you won't recover well.

Lol that's what I thought when I read the title. Hella old people in this thread tho
adopt a vegan diet, I have seen huge gains myself. I am 6-1, 138, and have yet to not PR in a race I have done since going plant based. Eating fat makes me feel like shit so I cut that out. Nuts are the exception.

Cut the wheat flour based foods after lunch.
This way you cut the carbs intake.
Add a lot of fish in your food. It has Omega-3, which focuses on fat, as energy source.
Think that you may have up to 800g of glycogen in your body, but you may have many times more fat.
