Base? Average commission? Some teammates and I were debating it because know of an alumni that went into that career, but no info has been shared with us.

Bump
I make bank as a rep. $250k last year.
Don't know about the other ones but Oiselle shoe reps make $0/year for obvious reasons
If you're on commission it's generally between 8 & 10% out of which you pay all costs. Major accounts are normally paid at a much lower commission rate.
A good independent will carry 3-4 brands and can net a bit over $100k once they've pioneered the territory.
You're on call 24/7 365. Clinics after hours, events on the weekend.
What middling runner has not considered how great it would be to be a shoe rep.? Well, not really . Yes, there's a very few that make maybe 120+ but those types would make much more in sales jobs elsewhere. Average (most that survive) make 70-100. But it's usually a crappy lifestyle and big bucks are in urban areas ie expensive to live. I am now retired and made a good living at sales (medical equip). Internet and ever increasing pressure to produce has eroded quality of life for todays reps.
Our Hoka rep does Hoka, Thule, some random Yoga apparel brand, CEP compression and something else. Our PI rep does PI, Swiftwick, 2Toms, and who knows how many other brands. Unfortunately, there aren't many shoe reps who only rep their brand. They are part of agencies that cover a range of brands. I would think between 60-70k.

I’m a D2 female runner. Our coach explicitly told us not to visit LetsRun forums.
