Background: I'm about 5'11 and range anywhere from 150-160lbs. I'm generally a forefoot or midfoot striker. Occasionally on the heels but mostly midfoot. I wear the Adidas Supernova Boost 6s and 7s for my distance trainer. Enjoy it a lot. I've had the Adidas Boston Boosts and the Brooks Pureflow 1 and 2s and I have enjoyed those shoes as well but I'm looking for other options and suggestions.
I want something that is under 9oz. But I also want something cushioned. Enough so that I can feel comfortable taking them on a 7-10 mile tempo or fartlek type run without any issue. Heel drop doesn't matter much to me. Low heel drops usually work better for lighter shoes for me. I like a good amount of forefoot cushion, specifically. I think that is what I didn't like about the boston boosts. It seemed like more of the cushion was in the heel and the forefoot was a little lacking.
I will also be using these shoes for track work and intervals but I'm not picky with that. My bostons worked fine for sprint work also, and they weren't very light for a 'speed shoe'.
Oh well, I'm open to any suggestions!
