Hello all!
I just finished my junior year of high school, and have run only since my freshman year. I would like to know what college may be good for me if I continue athletics beyond high school. Some background: I am in the top 5% of my class in a larger high school in Ohio. above 4.0 GPA. I have run PRs of 2:09 800m, 4:52 1600, and 11:00 3200. I have also ran a 17:40 in cross country (5k). I know that my times aren't the best, but I have a passion for the sport and i firmly believe that I can improve. Our coaching is not great and I struggled with injuries during track this year (my mom thinks it could be because I am growing) but I am ready to have a bg senior season. I would love to break 17 on the cross country course at some point this year. Anyways, I have looked into some schools in Ohio (Lake Erie, Walsh, Tiffin, Cedarville, Findlay, and a few others). It seems like I am not good enough to join their teams or they would let me on the team but I would get ignored. I would love to hear any suggestions. My friend mentioned NAIA to me as well, but I don't know how successful they are academically. Thanks!
