I'm new to running. I've been severely injured before in my legs (not from running) and have physically noticeable ridges of scar tissue as a result that can't be broken up, but I want to see how much I can improve over time, I'm not expecting to be great. I am a male who will be in his freshman year of undergraduate college after this summer.
I figure that this is a good place to log what I do since it is somewhere that I can easily look at my own past training and results and because maybe some of you might become interested as it goes along. I will post probably once a week with what I did that week in terms of training and see how far I get. Unfortunately this next week I won't have very much because I'm getting all 4 wisdom teeth pulled soon and I'm not sure how that will effect my running (not sure yet if I need to take time off after to avoid getting them infected or not, will ask dentist).
As of now, I think I can run somewhere around a 6 minute mile, I will be focusing on improvement in the 800m and the mile. I will do a time trial soon to see exactly where I am at. (I haven't started my training yet btw, I will update when I do).
