What are realistic goals for my mile + 2 mile and 5k.
I ran 9:40 for 2 miles as a Frosh this past year and I don't know what goals to set for myself next year that are realistic.

I ran 9:40 for 2 miles as a Frosh this past year and I don't know what goals to set for myself next year that are realistic.
Set a few goals. Performance goals and Process goals.
Performance goals small to SHOOT FOR THE MOON.
1. Small goal 9:32(1 second per lap faster)
2. 9:24 (2 seconds per lap faster)
3. Stars lining up, perfect dream race, everything comes together- sub 9
4. League/section/state champ
Process Goals. Things that are important in training/lifestyle that will help you on race day.
1. Be coachable
2. Positive mindset
3. Mental focus racing
4. Blocking pain out during the race
5. Enjoy your developing hobby/passion
6. Have fun
