Running career over but great academics vs shit academics but likely to have a running career?
^That might be an over simplification, but which would you pick of the 3 options?

Great academics > 0.00000001% chance to run professionally.
If you want to be apart of a great team and be more likely to compete in championship races, then choose the good running school. I don't think that means you will be more likely to have a running career(professional runner with a shoe contract)
everyone PREFERS this, but what about the loss in academic prestige?
Of course, there could be personal reasons for another choice (finances, family, specific degree program or professor with whom you are likely to work), but my very strong presumption would be Colorado College. And I wouldn't assume that my running career would be over if I went there.
Understood. The "running career over" was sort of a joke.
Do you think that most people at adams/western couldn't get into or afford CC?

I don't believe that most could get admitted, although I'm not sure about that; I'd have to check the admissions data and class profiles. As for affordability, I believe that there's usually a way to afford a school if you can get admitted, but I don't really know anything significant about CC's financial aid program; a student or his family may have to assume a pretty significant financial burden.
Neither. MIT or Harvard.
You will *not* make a living off running. Let's get that off the table.
Colorado College is a *great* school, and an excellent stepping stone to a well-paying career.
Western State or Adams State would be good ways to rack up some student debt that you'll take a long time to pay off with the crappy job you'll get
Tough choice.

You're ignorant if not kind of dumb.

Academics:
Colorado College > Adams State > Western State
Athletics:
Adams State > Western State > Colorado College
Town/City:
Western State > Colorado College > Adams State
Finally, the idea that you won't have a solid, well-paying career with a degree from Adams or Western is a LRC fallacy.

Rock, paper, scissors?
Colorado College has produced some decent runners over the years, although they don't appear to be very good these days. The mountain trails available in Colorado Springs are amazing, though. I'm sure you could still improve if you went there, and you'd get a higher-quality education to boot. Probably a lot more expensive, though.
Do you have any data to back that up?
I would choose CC any day, regardless of whether or not I wanted to run in college.
Western State! Crusty Butt!

+1. Should be a no brainer.
Western and Adams are SSIICCKKK for their running, but Colorado College is the best bet academically.
