About a year and a half ago, I was diagnosed with a posterior horn partial meniscus root tear. I couldn't run for a while but started running again after 8-9 months of nothing but bike and elliptical. I can run like I used to, but I can definitely tell that something is "off" in the injured knee. Like there's always at least a small amount of swelling on the side of the knee, and varying degrees of mild soreness throughout the evening after I have finished running.
Does anyone else have one of these injuries? Were you able to keep running regularly without getting surgery? Or did you get surgery for it? The surgeons I have talked to said that the torn portion would have to be removed (I.e., it can't be repaired).
