Yeah let's be real here, an athlete's education at University of Oregon is hardly better than a community college degree. Sure it's technically a degree but lets not pretend like these athletes have to bust their balls (or even go to class) to get a degree there.

It kind of makes sense actually if you think about it because what else is he going to do? He's not currently competitive on a global level and beating up on NCAA scrubs will be the height of his career.

Since he's not an American his future is basically just like Lawi Lalang's - just another run of the mill 13/27 5k/10k Kenyan. Nothing more than a heat filler on the circuit and once he graduates he'll fade into obscurity.

He seems like a nice guy and I do congratulate him on his accomplishments, but his charade has gotten tiresome to watch and I think it's unlikely he'll be missed.

How many world records or Kenya records does he hold?

Should Andre Degrasse have stayed in the NCAA? Would this have been a better idea?

Probably because he focused on his athletic career...which became his real career...that he is more successful at than almost any track athlete in US history.

Probably because he has the brainpower of a carrot. Rupp only managed three years of credit in five years, in a cupcake major at a clown college.

Actually, he may be a better student than he is a runner. He has received one or more honors such as academic all-"American," scholar-athlete, etc. OTOH, his major is bus ad, which is one place students go who can't cut it in the difficult majors. I am not criticizing UO here.

Yes Galen should hang up the spikes because he got over a 3.25 gpa in a few blow off classes. We have a real academic genius on our hands here.
