I think he can skip US Juniors now!
Even if he doesn't make the olympic team, he would still almost surely make the junior team. Yes, he should try for both and skip juniors if he makes the olympics.

Yes, he broke the oldest T&F record in NCAA on the 50th anniversary. Congrats
I'm waiting for Brazier to run the 4x400 so we can talk to him and I got a kick out of my thread being super hot.
1) Got to run the Trials.
2) Got to turn pro
are my thoughts.

Breaks Jim Ryun's American Junior Record by more than one second.
Only because USATF listed Jim's 800m record as his 880y time. He would have passed through 800m in around 1:44.3 or faster.
An amazing performance nonetheless. And doing it 50 years to the day Jim set the record is special.

You must be new here.
I just watched the 4x400 ... he looked like he ran a quick split. Anyone got the time?
What is it that Brazil holds in his left hand?
Please ask him what the thing is on his hand that he runs with.
Relay split anyone?

Okay, it looks like he let of the pedal before the tape. Could have faster. Amazing.
45.78 leg for Brazier according to results.
Results also list Hayward field record as Wolhulter's 1:43.5h from 1974 - does that mean Brazier should technically be the Hayward field 800m record holder as well since he equaled that time but with FAT instead of hand timing?

They should both be listed. Wolhulter's with the "h" so it is understood it could be been slightly slower or faster than Brazier. No way to know for sure. Behind listed along with Wolhulter is quite an accomplishment, more so for a college Freshman.
BEING listed . . .
What a glaring case of doping, but hey, lets look at the Russians!!

What's Braziers 1500 time, mile time? If he doesn't have one and is an 800 guy, don't compare him to Webb who was a 1500,miler with range to 10,000 meters.
The real question is whether brazier is higher ranked US AT for 800 than Webb was for his hs mile. Braziers still 18 right? I'd say it's comparable

19; April birthday, just like Jim Ryun.

Here is a post-race interview we did with Brazier:
No, Symmonds isn't sweating. He has a contract with no reductions, so he doesn't have to perform on the track to make $$.
