Also keep in mind that no news big news organization (like ESPN) is going to put someone, much less a crew, in this guy's van for the whole journey. It doesn't work that way. Costs too much. This isn't football. Early in this thread, people expressed frustration about "where are the crews?" Not there, and that should be expected. At best, a crew might meet him somewhere, film about 10 minutes and get some nice soundbites. Or, heck, they might just call him. The end.
If his team is who claimed that ESPN, CCTV, LMNOP, or whoever would be covering it, that was just one of those truth-stretches to make it sound good. They will "cover" it very lightly. (Except maybe if the CCTV person really is a friend and has a totally empty schedule for over a month. Unlikely.)
So don't be expecting that to be a source of truth to prove or disprove anything. In either direction.
