Look at the morons following him on FB. It is like a cult. They like to believe super humans exist. That is only way for them to justify their shitty life. I am not a super human like Rob so piss poor me but lets worship him like god.
It didn't take much to fool them and none of us would have even noticed this if wasn't for Asher. I mean who follows this stuff except for maybe dedicated ultra runners.
Surprisingly the big uk based ultrarunning community facebook group said nothing about this, until you guys were onto him. I hadn't even realised he had started it yet.
That facebook group ridicule everything and everybody normally, yet you can see he's fooled some very experienced ultra runners on there who have also done a transcon - both james adams and mark cockbain reckon he's legit - say he's a good runner and capable of those times - not sure if they've really looked into the tracker data though, as those two would surely know its nonsense if they looked at the pace/distance he was claiming before.
I'm very surprised people aren't out there following his every step on a bike or something. Rob just calls us lazy for not going to check he is doing it properly, but we are in the uk, what can we do - we are relying on you guys to follow him - but that will never prove the earlier stuff was sketchy.
If he manufactures a load of personal GPS data when he gets back home, and never gives us any during the crossing, is he going to get away with this? He'd certainly fool is silly worshippers with faked GPS data.
