As usual none of you skinny little girls is actually coming out of the basement to join Rob on his heroic effort.
Proof that Rob is running right there. Haters.

Why is it that Robert Young can't upload his data to the internet for everyone to see but everyone can use the internet to see Robert Young running on the road on I-70?
I am hungry now.
When is Mr. Delmott going to eat Robert Young?
When will this mighty "Laz" arrive? And will he wear vibrams or hokas?
I have to amid that I didn't read page 75-79 yet. It's really hard to keep up. ( Just like running a whole TransCon. :-)
Anyway it seems that Robert's tracker is on the move again.
Of course. They're monitoring this thread. Suddenly the poor persecuted lamb RY has hopped out of the rv and is out and running if it is posted where he will be busted next, (as if next is needed, as if what is already out there isn't enough).
How many days does he have left? Guess we're going to see how long he can stay awake and run if he has raised suspicion and is now being monitored doesn't know when or how, and better not be moving and accumulating mileage unless he is running, no slow rolling rv miles counting anymore.
Still waiting for the gps with cadence uploads of the entire run which should have already been posted if they aren't trying to tamper with it, and should have been posted if their concern was being legitimate for a charity (yet didn't have time to do that, yet did have time for burgers, grand canyon side trip, frisbee golf, bunny suits, pool time...)
Then waiting for RY to post a new video running at pace he apparently ran unsupported for 35-40 miles in the desert in the begining and has apparently run every day since this started for more than marathon distances every day. Just a new or any video of that for at least 10 miles, wearing the watch with cadence tracking to compare with earlier claims for this run, shouldn't be too hard.
Then just waiting for charity audits of sketchy charities.
Then just waiting for uploads of gps watches with cadence from all those on his team who are trying to vouch for him by claiming they have been there with him and are running with him to see if those numbers match.
These things would be so easy to do and a good start. All questions that could be easily answered and all that could have been avoided by not raising suspicion to start.
Maybe 6 double espressos with 15 sugars will drop him to a 5 mm pace for the next few marathons, he has claimed this is all he needed before for what? 73 subsequent miles on that story?

He's been spending the three last days cooking organic vegan food to bring with him. But he'll be there before the end of June.
If you haven't seen the Barkley Marathons documentary (it's on Netflix), I'd highly suggest you do. It's pretty enlightening, and it's a solid introduction to Laz.
It wouldn't be his style to show up dragging a bunch of bells and cans to announce his arrival, preceeded by 25 tweets or FB posts that include check-ins along his drive to find the RV.
Is that how you'd do your detective work?
PS He's been running ultras longer than many of you guys have been alive. Pretty sure he's at or near 40 years of it.

Not at breakneck speed though. Judging from the traffic-cam he was having his usual optimistic start.

Rob will dust that old geezer.
A little "history" on the discovery of doubt about what Robert Young is doing (and how the ultraList plan to track him came about).
From the first few days, one ultraList-er was posting information to the list pointing out that things didn't look right (and posting reasons, etc). He also was posting such doubts to the marathonmanuk facebook page (where he would regularly get attacked for asking questions, asking for evidence). Then he more-or-less let it go for a while, while knowing there was so much reason to doubt. On June 3 he posted againwith more evidence and questions to the ultralist; this time the list immediately got very involved, looking further into it, and on June 6 (which is a day before this thread here on letsrun began) the plan was in place for the ultralist tracking trip (along with the date it would be made, fitting the availability of those making the trip.)
I understand that everyone wishes they could be out there sooner (I myself have felt that way); but those making the trip had to do it on their schedule, and as ultra runners they understand patience and planning, and so it is. It has been very fortunate for the ultralist that this thread has come out, that so many letsRun-ers have gotten involved. But please understand they are on this, they are determined, they care about truth.... Folks who want to make jokes about them can enjoy themselves doing so. But I am posting this for the rest of you all, so you know. (you can join the ultralist if you doubt the dates I am claiming here are accurate; take it from listserv!)

Well, there you go guys, who needs more evidence than that? Rob is risking his life running on the highway without assistance to help children. Case closed.
And may very likely have now experienced the joy of sharing a ride with a state trouper.

What makes folks think the Geezers haven\'t arrived already? Regardless, they won\'t be making any announcements until they\'ve seen what they needed to see.

oops ... parsing error.
that last paragraph was truncated because I used a less than symbol.
If should have read:
Yes, Laz has been running Ultras for around 4-decades. RayK has the distinction of being - as far as I know - the only person to finish a 100-miler in less than 24-hrs in five separate decades.
His supporters are losing it:
"Rant:
If anyone's bored, here's a good game to play: rather than get in touch with him or his crew beforehand to arrange things, let's sneak-up unannounced on Rob at 1am as he runs along a deserted road in the the middle of nowhere when for all he knows you could be some lazy-eyed psycho with a knife... Then we can all go home like good keyboard warriors and write how Rob got scared for his safety and sheltered in the safety of his support van - then forget to mention the full facts that when Rob realised once a safe time had passed and he was not in danger, he returned to where you stalked him and carried on running having had is rhythm interrupted and cost him time. Well played you absolute cretin.
Trawling the Internet for recorded times for a 10k that Rob ran years ago (when you do not even know if he was racing that day or gently jogging around a course) and shouting about this on message boards implying he is 'too slow' to be recording his times when he runs 100k's on a daily basis, is like comparing a hamburger to a steak; sure they're both beef but that's where the similarity ends... Which if these keyboard warriors know half as much about running as they claim, then they would be aware of the difference... And going by the 'power of 10' rankings as your only source for Rob's times means very little - I have over 50 marathons and ultras to my name, but only 1 official half marathon which was pacing a slower runner, so a good hour off my natural pace and I have no official 10k time and I'm not sure I even have a 'power of 10' rating as I have never registered with the site as it is meaningless to me, so I guess I'm a fraud as well!.. And believe me, Rob has beaten me by at least an hour in every marathon we have been in together except for one, but to be fair he had just completed a 100 mile race in less than 24 hours before being driven 3 hours to the start of that marathon!.. So Rob is no slouch in 2 feet which anyone who has raced with him will tell you.
It sounds like there's bitterness that Rob is on course to break the 30 year old record, not because of the fact he is in sight of achieving it, but by the dint of him not being born on the western side of the Atlantic Ocean... Rob has had the cojones to organise a support team and logistics, fly half way around the world and have a go at achieving something that no-one in a fine nation of millions could do over that time. Pure jealousy, pure spite and pure bitterness on behalf of these Wikipedia altering keyboard warriors who would struggle to match Rob's effort for even a day, let alone 40+.
Ask yourself this all you keyboard warriors: why in the name of all that is holy would someone choose to, at their own financial and time expense, fly to California from London to drive across a continent at 5mph, mostly during the night, over the course of a month without rest, whilst running on a treadmill in the back of a Winnebago - Sounds absurd to the point of lunacy and the product of fevered imaginations doesn't it, but that's what you're accusing him of doing! go and take a hard look at yourselves you sad pack of numpties."

This is a good example of the BS I was referring to, OK.
Someone is doing a well-publicised run where they are running at night - understand this point - at night - and they have said people are welcome to join - any prizes for guessing when people are going to turn up?
Someone turns up with no runner in sight and the RV going at running speed, this person on foot is then supposed to be a threat to a number of individuals in a vehicle - get real, if they are that afraid why are they even out at night without their mothers?
You just MIGHT do well to learn the difference between what you know, and what you read on a trollfest message board. But hey, you are an Expert Kip Watcher, what do I know.
Looks like he will soon cross the MO river on 370. There is a webcam there that has a view of the bike path. I gotta run to dinner so cannot watch. Here is the link for someone that wants to see him actually run by. I believe he may be doing this legit. http://mobile.gatewayguide.com/docs/camerasRoute.aspx?route=370

It actually looks like he's on the Boschertown Road (Hwy H?) and he (or the RV) is 25 - 30 miles from the Mississippi.
