Yes. For a thorough investigation it will take time. You can't ask for a proper investigation and want it done in a week. As strong as the Let's Run community feels it's case against RY is, the Let's Run community should also have the patience and respect to those reviewing the data to do the most thorough job possible.
If the goal is to get to the bottom of this, then 60 days is not a long time to wait. If the goal is to validate the Let's Run position, then there will be no timeline that will be acceptable.
SKINS has stepped up and invested in legitimate people to look into RY's run. It's time to give them the time to get the job done thoroughly.

The main reason RY still has a big fanbase over here is because people like Mark Cockbain said of him "sounds legit". And he's done a transcon.
I don't think Mark Cockbain did a Trans Con but he did the Jogle.

One of the nice things about Jaimie Fuller having Pielke and Tucker examine this is that when they document and certify the cheating (and I have no doubt they will), runners and media sources won't be hesitant to speak about it for fear of being labeled haters. It won't be seen as an online witch hunt by a bunch of anonymous internet trolls.
The Pielke and Tucker report will be heavy on details and I expect news sources then will simplify it and run with it.
Initially, when Fuller said he would appoint an independent investigator, I thought he was pulling a corporate trick to get someone to say the data was inconclusive. Now, I realize this could be the best thing to publicly expose and document the scam that took place.
Yes, as much of a sham as the investigation could have been, its also likely that SKINS is just getting the right ammo for the actions they need to take. They can't dump an athlete and an employee based on "jealous internet haters". They can if they can point to a thorough independent report by experts though.
You could let them know. wrote:

Probably because people like you haven't made them aware of it.
I live 6000 miles from the UK, have never been there, and know nobody who lives there.
Why don't you tell me how to go about doing this?
With multiple threads active about transcontinental Runs, I have decided to add a transcon to my own bucket list.
I also contacted the Walter Mitty group, but heard nothing after the initial correspondence. Looking at the very oldest posts on his FB page, I believe he was in the army - but probably nowhere near as accomplished an athlete as he paints.
Has anyone had an acknowledgement from Pielke & Tucker to information submitted? Slightly cynical, but I'd like to be sure they don't turn round on July 11th and claim they received no submissions. How long do I (we) wait before asking again? I only mean acknowledgement of receipt, not any commentary or comment on the content.
Not sure how you got that opinion of the UK runners? Mark cockbain agrees he is a cheat and was being sarcastic in that seems legit comment. I know because I have had many chats with him about it. James Adams also does not buy RY and his lies. Neil runs the forum and keeps pretty neutral and rarely comments about stuff and has always been this way so is showing no different. Your will also find there is a growing realisation that what myself and a couple of others have been saying on there is now being more accepted.
I personally have been posting on there and have spoken directly with RY about it.
As I said not sure where you are getting you facts but they are not correct. The UK runners do not however react in the same way that US runners on here do. They usually take a slower more measured approach.
For ease of clarity I am Lindley on fb.
If you are going to try to Slaggyford of UK runners try to at least get you facts right first.

I have still been thinking about why the name 'marathon man UK" was created from the office of Dr. Courtney Kipps at the Putney Clinic.
At this point of time, Robbie had not run ANY real marathons and was just starting his first 3 fake marathons for his book and new career as 'marathon man UK', charities, sponsors, World Champion, World Record Holder, etc.
This name was created at the office of Dr. Courtney Kipps, who later was talking about how Robbie somehow believed in the impossible... and could overcome his VO2 max physical ability of a 3 hour+ marathoner.
This does not make any sense.
Why does the name 'marathon man UK' start at his office at the very beginning of this debacle?
Please help answer my question Racergirl.
Thank you.

He was featured on British Forces News FWIW - not sure if that actually proves it though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASp7N3nl8AoRY is due to talk at an event in Barrow on July 11. I wonder if he'll turn up, and if anyone will ask him any pertinent questions about his army career, world class triathlons, professional cycling career, world best run without sleep, run across America feats or this transcon fiasco.

I have no idea. It looks and sounds as dodgy as anything, but as I wasn't there I can't give any more insight than anyone else speculating about it.
Can someone post the link to the info showing the name "marathon man UK" on the website of Dr. Courtney Kipps prior to 14 April 2014? I tried finding it in this thread but haven't. It's not linked in the google docs material. Thanks.
I can't see any further posts to suggest this "fundraising ball" ever happened but if there was ever going to be any charity money going into Rob's pocket then this would have been an ideal opportunity. £300 per person!!!

I just received confirmation, and I contacted them several days ago. Our skepticism is well placed, but everything we have seen so far suggests this investigation will be legitimate and above the board. Any delays are probably due to them being deluged by information.
One other possible outcome is that the investigators don't use much of our submitted data. If they get the real Tom Tom data from Rob it could be case closed without much need for digging into all of the specific incidents (Kansas, Laughlin, etc).

I received an email from them this morning regarding some of the evidence I submitted.

That is great. Good timing since Skin is just looking to sponsor another athlete right now and I heard that there is a RV for sale somewhere.
