I'm thinking that Rob just collapsed on the road like he did yesterday and hit his head and went to sleep due to exhaustion.

Which may be where he noticed the problem.
Kidney/bladder issues are not uncommon after many miles of running (been there) ... hopefully it is something scary (like urinating blood) but not serious.
Actually, they may have just stopped at Applee's and/or McDonalds for directions. As JWIII pointed out in on the UltraList, they first tries to stop an Irvington Family Medicine (a clinic) at 21:30.
Maybe the RV is chilling while he runs ahead. Assuming he makes it out of Indy alive, I think the hills of PA will finish him if Ohio doesn't first.

It would appear that the RV just reversed route and went to Indianapolis Community Hospital East.
I hope he's ok. And that this is the end of this fiasco. It's also a good end for him - going to the hospital will allow him to spin this so he can keep his true believers on board. He can say that he would have made it, but had a bit of an issue after sooooo many days of "running". And, as he didn't finish, he'll never have to release any data to all those wretched trolls who are unfairly trying to malign him.
My hope is next year he can ride with Team Sky in the Tour de France. Except, sadly, he's too good and is guaranteed to win so jealousy will keep them from letting him join the team. He'd be way better than Lance. Way better.

Oops ... they first tried to stop at Irvington Family Medicine ...
How many people:
A) What to see him finish?
B) Would like to see him make a huge resurgence and break the record?
I'll answer: Both A and B.
Do I still have questions about the pre-Laz days?
Yes, but finishing with a record sure would stretch out this delightful thread.

I'm switching from anti-RY to pro-RY because of CoachKev. He's got a lot more drive and pure hate than the usual boring lrc-posters. It's like an 800 dude jumped into the last half mile of transcon.
GO KEV!
Sure. GO KEV.

Community Hospital East? I hope he's ok. Don't kill yourself Rob.
Fwiw, if this is the end of the run, then this ends nearly identically to how his 373 mile run ended. Read CoachKev's blog. After 373 miles which broke Dean's continuous run record, RY wanted to go on to 400. But paramedics had to stop him. Fortunately, then it wasn't the end of him. And hopefully now, it isn't either.
Zero point zero....
Do you think the McDonalds, IHOP and Motel 6 vending machine food doesn't agree with him?

So you think it's explosive diarrhea brought on by the constant up and down motion from running?
When Real Laz said he would have pulled him yesterday .... I've been waiting. I hope he is no worse for wear long term... If Laz finds him worthy of respect and is helping w shoes and shirts he must see some talent that is credible. Not enough talent for a record breaking transcon but some.... Laz has seen many runners at their darkest points. He will have a good feel for what is a rough patch one will emerge from and when it is time to try again another race. He's not some RnR RD worried about a lame lawsuit. I respect his judgement on pulling runners as he realizes the miles they have accumulated. Given they have not made it through Indy I assume the RDM is becoming insurmountable for the record - that is all I care about. Fake the run, fake yourself, be lame. Just don cheat a record.

Show me where in the data you see 50 miles at that pace. Exaggerations like this are ruining the thread.
Go and read the first 40 pages. It's there.

Can we get some boots on the ground inside the Hospital?
Some valid points but, don't have a cow, man.
You have to keep in mind, a little bit of cheating is ok when you are not trying to set a world record; you would only be cheating yourself. But, around here, if you are going for gold, going for AR, WR - you better back everything up 100% because we are passionate about records and we don't want to be cheated. He's going for a record on our soil. Guess what, I wouldn't care if he cheated on a UK crossing Record.
You, Rob and everyone else with half a brain knows he has cheated in the desert. Now, if he can break the record without being convicted of cheating by Guinness, is another story.
I feel, he will finish in record breaking time. What happens after that, time will tell. Will he be declined a record? Who knows.[/quote]
Perfect timing...
I am now pretending this is the real laz, because they are much more entertaining and surprisingly somehow still read like his updates.

Hopefully just on his face or in his pee... He's been running for what... 5 days under Laz's supervision and assistance? Guess RayK's shoe trick didn't solve all his problems ;)
Given 50 per day appears to have put him in the hospital, what's the over/under on actual miles run per day prior? 30 per day? maybe 20 per day?
Ray got Robert on the Karo syrup yet?
