Anyone heard from Sage on this yet? As a keen ultra guy, I wonder what his thoughts are on this.

I don't get it.
Asher drove by the RV a couple of times and didn't see Rob because, according to them Rob was running beside the RV on his blind side even though there wasn't a runable verge to speak of.
Asher then ran up behind the RV.
They got scared and as Rob was running beside the RV he conveniently opened the rear side door and jumped in and they drove away.
Is this what they're saying?
They approach Fauna and 50 at that ridiculous pace, coming in quite hot until about 1000 ft past Emmer Rd. The first section the pace slows is when they cross Fauna road. The pace in that section is 15.6 min/mile. And that portion of the data stops about 20 ft past Fauna Rd (it stops between Fauna road and a small driveway with round turnabout on the south side of the road). The segment immediately following, they crawl at under 2 mi/hr for about a quarter of a mile.
Did you run up to the RV with your axe east of that turn off with the round about? It seems like you approached right here. Because then they go 2.1 miles in about 13 minutes (just about 6 min/mi pace). Maybe this is them speeding off?
I'll say this, if he was again left behind the tracker/RV approaching Fauna Rd then all I can guess is that RY was west of you while they sped off and they left him for dead.
If he was east of them and ahead of the RV, he was actually beating the RV during a stretch where it went 16 miles in 6:42 pace (that includes the 15.3 miles at 6:15 with the slowdown across Fauna Rd) by enough that you never saw him pass as long as you waited. Maybe it was that ninja running suit?
Moving on from the speed away from Lebo:
One more mile east in 12 minutes.
Then they must stop-they travel 400 ft in 13 minutes.
Then there's a 34 minute 10k (adrenaline rush?!?) before they slow down for a few sections then stop for an hour.

Asher. do we have any way of finding out what barmaid and what tavern that Rob stopped at in Emporia KS? I would like to call. I am currently scanning the google map for bars along the route.
(knowing Asher he is likely 10 steps ahead of me on this investigation)
Would one of Rob's supporters like to contact him and take them up on the offer of giving us the bar maids name and the stranger's cell number?
There are several bars along the route. The one's closet to the edge of town are Mary's Place, and Corner Pocket (says Mallards on google maps, not sure which is the real name). Purple Duck is on the route, but probably not the one.
Yep, you ultra boys definitely need to lighten up.

haha they just don't get it.
I know this has been discussed, but it still just blows me away how people on RY's Facebook think that everyone demanding proof is a "hater." If a mid-d guy claimed to have run the mile AR solo on his local track at night with only a couple of his buddies watching, then tried to submit as evidence a few short videos of brief portions of the run, I think we'd all call BS on that, too. That just isn't how you approach a record attempt.
If you're trying to set a record, you document every second of the attempt. Run in front of your support vehicle with a dash cam recording the entire run. Put the GPS tracker on your body. These really don't seem like outlandish expectations. I would expect this kind of evidence even if the circumstances and athlete's history weren't so dubious.
I ran out from beside the house which is approximately 3/8 mi west of Fauna Road. The RV stopped approximately 1/8 mi west of Fauna Road before speeding away from me. Eventually, they returned to less than 1/8 mi east of Fauna Road which allowed me to get ahead of them in my car again. After waiting awhile at that intersection, they drove slowly down the road where I captured my 2:10 am video at Garner Rd. (no runner or flashlight near the RV)
I was really hoping you'd set up a fake video with your source at the car wash and let them identify a figure that was definitely Rob which was actually you running down the street. Shame, I reckon they would have claimed it was him regardless and looked like total chumps.
Welcome to America. If you question anyone or anything, you're a hater, especially if it's for charity.
I think we have to accept that it is Rob in the CCTV footage. There is just no other explanation for the RV reversing its course and travelling at the speed limit to go back to Emporia. His crew come across as blundering idiots. This action and the inconsistencies in recounting those night's events don't necessarily surprise me. However this occurred at the beginning of the night and Rob already looked to be in a world of hurt. There is no way the crew once they rejoined him then took off at blistering pace again and there is no way Rob found a second wind and starting clocking 6:30 miles or whatever on his way to Lebo. I think what happened is they met back up with him, Rob said f*ck it I don't feel good, we're in the middle of nowhere, let me just hop into the back so we can get our daily miles recorded today. If all was innocent with that night Robert and his people would have been a lot more forthcoming from the beginning.

Rob who? What RV?
Kevin O\'Rourke Keep going Rob. You have got this little run.
Stuff the doubters, they are insane basement dwellers who has no class, no talent and no balls, they hide behind keyboards and puke out venom. I can\'t wait for them to choke on their own BS.
Kevin O\'Rourke a lot are though, especially the Letsrun trolls and other muppets. Doubters and sceptics are fine but hiding behind FB names with no friends or history and an anonymous poster on a rubbish forum spilling complete hatred is just wrong
Terry Jones I bet the doubters vote Trump also. Rise above their level Rob, ignore them and smash it, then name and shame the idiots when you get to nyc.
Nick Dransfield Thank goodness for CCTV! Prove the doubters wrong! #inRobWeBelieve
This is it exactly. And, the only rational explanation for being so shady about the details of your "record attempt", is because your record attempt is shady. It takes very little planning to accurately document a record setting run. It takes much more effort to be evasive and confusing on the details of your run. And again, there is only one rational explanation for why someone would set out on a record attempt and make something so easy and fundamental as recording your run so very difficult.
I don't even want to hear the excuses and the bs. If you can't easily show me clear accurate data for your run across america, as far as I'm concerned, you didn't do it. On the very slim probability that you didn't cheat - who cares, it's your own damn fault for messing up something so vital and so easy to accurately record.

60 miles today. Rob has got his mojo back and we'll soon see 70+ days again.
Haha, and you took the "we just concentrate on sub 2:30 marathons and sub 14:30 5k's" seriously enough to reply the way you did, especially liked the "So get some respect jogger boy", ouch, that hurt.
Kinda proves the point that you ultra boys need to lighten up, don't you think?
PS I realize that this Rob idiot is casting a dark shadow over the ultra world but the sun will come up tomorrow and all will be well again, trust me.
Please send message to Laz: Please consider offering to comp Rob into the Barkley race.
Laz and Rob will be greater than Tom Tellez and Carl Lewis.
Why would he stop at bar to use a phone instead of a gas station if he was afraid of getting stabbed by a stranger? A gas station would have been safer.
The video RY posted on Facebook looks very different from the video Asher posted. The person is walking away from the camera and does not appear to be carrying anything, although it's hard to see much really. They are a very small part of the field of view.
