This is what I see too.
Emporia is west of Lebo.
If that is RY sauntering through, the pacer continues well out of town and circles back. RY covers 2.7 miles from the CCTV to the presumed pickup point where the RV appears to stop after driving 30 mph during the backtrack. You can estimate RY has about 83-93 min to cover that 2.7 mi. Reasonable with walking and stopping.
Here's the real question though--if they just left him behind would they do it again immediately?
Because immediately after this fiasco, the pace picks up to 6:15 for the next 15.3 miles heading east out of Emporia towards Lebo. Either they dropped him again (off the back of the van-where he wasn't present in the original video), or he found quite the second wind after the walking bit in Emporium.
The tracker slows down when they reach Lebo, then they apparently sleep just East of Lebo.
If they've only left him ~5 times, that hurts their case. The tracker has all kinds of instances of him running paces we don't suspect he can do.
