That sucks. So if I understand you correctly, we have no way to access the time and location of the tracker that was posted on their website until two days ago? Has anyone asked them why they took that info down (not that they would answer)?
Way way back on Friday (around page 46) there was a conversation between me and noobrunner where noob claimed to have downloaded a copy of the KML file. On the tracker website, if you look at the network stats, you'll see it requests two XML files. One is the planned route (called robxamerica.xml, without timestamps) and the other WAS the timestamped data, called team1.kml. That file disappeared on Friday afternoon when this thread blew up. Pretty much no doubt in my mind they pulled it because it contains all the unbelievable pacing across the west. It appears that ONLY the robxamerica.xml file was saved to that Google Doc, in which case, we lost one of our best pieces of evidence. It included GPS points every 12 minutes of their journey across the west (up to somewhere around Jefferson City, when it disappeared from the web). Not only could we have calculated the 12-minute pace for every segment since the start (with the caveat that sometimes the tracker was in the RV), it would have given the live-cam investigators the exact information they need for their archive search and FOIA requests.
Anyway, I'm hoping that noob or SOMEBODY DOES have team1.kml from Friday but I haven't been able to look into it over the weekend. That file is the smoking gun from the 12-minute time checkins from whatever device they are using (the same device they claim is SOMETIMES on Rob and SOMETIMES in the van.
Catching up after this weekend it seems to me that this guy is not going to last as long as someone is watching him. If he really was running most of it before, then maybe he could do it by walking it in, but if, as I suspect, he really wasn't even running the majority of it before, he's going to continue to degrade and get injured or sick before he makes it because of the sudden increase in the stress his body is taking on. I imagine that's his crew's best hope... that along with hoping that they can doctor the tomtom files retroactively and continuing to blow smoke for their supporters, who don't seem willing to look critically at this scam.
So, to LRCers and to noobrunner,
WHO HAS THE TEAM1.KML FILE?
