Love videos, love your perspective. The sooner the better.

Put his life on hold? What does that mean? There is no such thing. Whatever you're doing at that moment IS YOUR LIFE! There is no "HOLD" - he's just out there pretending to do this thing. And don't kid yourself, he's absolutely doing it for the fame and glory, but it's all going to backfire on him when the world figures out what a total fraud the guy is!
And another book deal with Simon & Schuster.

I wonder what kind of offer they are making to Bebop and Rocksteady to keep them quiet on their spy mission.
Also keep in mind they might have made them sign an NDA.

Yeah, right here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hyMG3b05u0i can't believe no one has seen the eerie parallels between RY and Jesus Christ yet.
Jesus: immaculately conceived
RY: immaculately conceived athletic career
Jesus: wears trademark robe
RY: wears trademark kilt
Jesus/RY: surrounded by several die-hard disciples recording his exploits
Jesus/RY: worshipped by fanatics who would likely kill in his name
Jesus/RY: performed miraculous/physically impossible feats
Jesus: doing it to redeem all of mankind
RY: doing it for the kids
Jesus: wandered aimlessly in the desert
RY: wandered aimlessly in Emporia, KS

searcher of answers wrote:That video doesn't muddy the waters at all. That's someone dressed in all black with no headtorch (which Rob wouldn't be) and casually strolling down the street. No way in hell anyone could believe that's Rob.
Actually, if you look at the photos, he frequently does dress in all black, even at night, sometimes in long pants. And he carries a flashlight rather than use a headlamp.
He does wear official running stuff that has reflective stuff on it, and I don't see that in the video, and it just doesn't look like someone trying to put in miles.
I'm about 57% sure it's not him, but it could be.
REMEMBER- According to Robs OWN TOMTOM DATA he posted, he should be just starting a 35 mile 9min pace effort in this surveillance video.
The guy in this video has the GAIT OF A 82 OLD W/ 2 HIP IMPLANTS AND A .15 BAC.
Jesus folks, 0 percent chance that is Robert Young as he claims himself to be.

Damn it! I just spit out a mouthful of cheese on a Ritz cracker all over my keyboard. This ultrarunner is LOL. Definitely one of the best posts so far.
Also, the number of recovering substance abusers in the ultraworld would astound you. That's why this is so funny.
That's your mom's keyboard and don't worry she'll clean it up like she always does.
far too skinny to be RY as well, even with all the extra clothes on
Dumb question I know. But did we get any answers as to why all the time stamps on the RV tracker (and sometimes back pocket of Rob's shorts tracker) no longer has time stamps?
it's like Moses giving a sermon. Buy that man a pint or 10

I prefer to have your mom lick it up, like she always does.

Let me preface by saying that Rob is not indicative of the ultra community.
Second, I know you think you are being funny, but let's see you TRY an ultra. Anyone can run a 10K or even a marathon. An ultra. That is a huge step up from what normal runners can accomplish. When you finish something like Western States or a multi-day event you come talk to me. Until then show some respect.
The real interesting tidbits are that most Ultra runners do run 5k, 10k, 1/2 and full marathons... in fact, probably faster than most on this wonderful forum. As an example: which one of you guys can run the Boston Marathon in reverse at about an 8:30/mile and then turn around and do the actual race at 6:30/mile with a 30 minutes rest, or the Comrades Marathon at a 6:56/mile average for 55.6 miles? Or maybe the Olympic trials marathon in 2:17, or maybe even 100 miles in 11:47 (fyi, that would be about a 7:00/mile pace for 4 consecutive marathons)....
Sounds like some pretty slow guys to me.

Wow. These are the absolute worst updates one could possibly imagine. You couldn't include any less actual information if you tried. I don't get the point of even posting this.
No way is that Robert Young in the second video. It looks to be a skinny person with a smartphone out for a casual walk dressed in all black. What kind of moronic transcontinental runner would dress in all black clothing in the middle of the night with no reflective bands while walking on dimly lit roads?
Which demanding life was put on hold?
The life of asking for basic living expenses for his wife and children via go fund me pages? Is that the big life that was put on hold?
How are we doing on the military records for this guy?

Oh the irony!
I didn't realize that most ultra runners were so fast!

I know you're in contact with Rob, so please could I advise a strategy to make all of this negativity dissolve rapidly. First and foremost, some GPS data would be great please.
However, an even quicker win would be a couple of sentences from Rob to confirm:
1. Details of his pro cycling career that he mentions in his book and in interviews.
2. When and where did he run his 30.47 10k and 1.08 half pbs?
It's been a few days now that people have been speculating re the above - if you / he could oblige I know this would take a lot of heat out of this discussion.
Cheers.
You still haven't answered this one Kev? Just the basic details would be adequate. It would probably take about 30s of his time.
Cheers
Third time of asking. Any response? If they're not true, fine, we can move on and focus on what he is doing now.
