All you idiots addressing me as "Dustin" - you do realize that this is in response to a request for a Ulister to post something. Which I did, in quotes. I am not Dustin.
For a bit more context, that message from Dustin was in response to a FB post discussed here:

Guys I wanted to post this comment on facebook to him and just wondered if it sounds fair. As I said I don't want to take a position and make it sound negative while at the same time explaining why I am skeptical
"""""Dear Marathon Man, I would just like to say as someone who has run across the USA (albeit at a much slower pace) as well as a few other countries I hope that you don't just dismiss some of the skepticism about the record as pure negativity but rather a legitimate question.
In all my runs I was always as honest as possible and even redid certain distances even though I knew I ran them because the gps was saying I had "skipped" .2 miles (though my marker from the night before was clear as day I still redid the .2 miles) so that I had no doubt for myself only.
Personally I am very neutral about your claim in the sense that yes I believe you do need to have a very anal and detailed approach to providing proof because while most people don't really care about the details in it of themselves (so many will confuse a run with a walk for instance) but there are people that this means a lot to and they do care about fastest claimed times and records. If anyone of them resort to name calling or sarcasm or simply dismissing claims out of hand because they "seem" bogus that is sad and has nothing to do with the topic at hand BUT at the same time please realize there have been plenty of charlatans who have tried this stunt before (just recently a guy did this in the JOGLe and later retracted his claim when called out for inconsistencies)and while it won't matter one way or another to most folks it does matter to a dedicated community.
As an example one person mentioned your feet and their condition ( I remember from my own trans and journey runs and know that every transconer has had blisters and foot issues) so this is something you can take note of if at the core you are interested in proving the skeptics wrong and show your blisters or lack their of (forgive me if you did so already).
So again I am not here calling you out to say you are cheating or anything like that but I am saying I remain neutral about it because their have been many people who take advantage of perceptions (again not saying you are but not blindly accepting the claimed time either).
If you are legit good luck and if not again it's you and the mirror at the end of the day and I don't want to add pointless insults or name calling if that is the case.
