I have very little bodyfat - veins running all over my arms, legs, and chest.
after reaching decent (15's for 5k, nothing special here) times in running and entering my late 20s, I find myself ready to try something new.
I just want to lift weights and do cross-training exercises while possibly still cycling for fitness (I ride quite a bit currently)
Questions:
-Do I need to gain bodyfat? It seems like whatever I eat doesn't impact my weight/fat % even if I stop exercising.
-Will putting the miles in on the bike make muscle gains impossible? If so, I'll stop riding.
-What do I eat?
-What should my basic lift routine be?
From my initial research it seems like I just need to eat a TON, and focus on big heavy combo lifts like Deadlifts, Squats, Bench, Pullups. But honestly that's all I really know at this point, and I don't know how to approach this effectively. The last thing I want to do is do all this incorrectly and make no gains.
