Let me preface by saying I'm a 33 year old hobby jogger. Been running for 20 years. Live in the Deep South where heat and humidity is impossible for decent running which leads to frustration which leads me to burning out physically and mentally. Trying to do something different this summer in attempt be running well in sept- dec when weather breaks and that's pretty much every cardio machine at the gym. Two a days... Mostly hour in am and pm. I'm hoping this will give me the aerobic base I need, strengthen some weak hamstrings and just make me very hungry to run come August as opposed to be so out of it as I've been past couple of summers. Anybody go against traditional wisdom of "Malmo" and just pounding all summer to do something to save some in the tank, now don't get me wrong in hs and college that was route I went but in my older, fragile state... Body just doesn't work like that anymore.
