Ok so I'm kind of in a weird situation about the state qualifier meet. I've qualified at sectionals for the 1600 and 3200, but this season I've ran a 4:25 in the 1600 and to go to states I would have to beat this kid who is a sub 4:20 miler(like 4:19-4:18) or get second and go under 4:21.54. But my coach thinks that I have a better surge and the only person that I have to worry about at state quals for the 3200 would be a kid with a pr of 9:49. I also haven't ran the two mile fresh this season. Ive ran 10 flat after tripling with the 1600 and 4x800 before it. Ive also ran a 9:12 in the 3000 during indoor which suggests that I could run a 9:49 if you convert it, but that was when my record for the full mile was a 4:39. My friend that's on the same team as me has a good shot for the 1600 too and it would be cool if we both went to states for our events. Any suggestions or predictions if I were to run a 1600 or 3200?
