All you idiots that cream yourself over his video workouts and 1/4 squats. This performance deserves more coverage on these boards. If he was a yank you lot would be going mental.

Looks like the training with Mo Farah and Jama Aden in Ethiopia paid off for young Charlie! Must be the oxygen in that part of the world.
He's been in flagstaff for the last 6 weeks, is the oxygen special there too?
Can I cream you?
Who even is Charlie Grice?
Some English bloke who ran much quicker that any yank over the mile at the pre, I think.
I'll venture you're a Brit.
Check teeth to be sure

The oxygen and not the vitamins, really? I hear Ethiopia has a thriving vitamin import economy these days.
I thought Macdaddy was Makhloufi.
I was confused as to why he would be 'beloved' on this board.
Grice ran faster than anyone in the A-heat out of the B-heat in the PJ 800m, winning by two seconds. Does the same at Pre. It will be interesting when he gets in the right seeding.
Grice won't even make the Finals in Rio.
DaddyMak is peaking perfectly.

It is rumored that Flagstaff has the same "special" qualities of the Ethiopian highlands.

He did well, but no, nobody would be "going mental" about an American 3:52.x. Although, it would still be better than what most of the Americans have done so far this year. Still, Andrews and Centro should be fine, and Blankenship looked ok yesterday.
About Mac daddy- I don't know what makes you think that Americans (or letsrunners in general) are fans. Mostly they just call him a doper. I am a fan, but I don't think there are many others.

Well from what I have seen in terms of track sessions and training load indicators in the weight room DaddyMak is doing too much too early and is bound to crash and burn.
Charlie however is a good outside bet for a bronze I reckon.
did centro even run?

Charlie Grice seems a nice young man and is a very good runner. But he's never broken 3:35 and has only just sneaked under 1:47. (Albeit I wouldn't be shocked if he ran 3:32, 1:45 this year.)
In fact, he's only the fourth fastest active Brit over 1500 (fifth if you count Baddeley, who is sub 3:50 miler and making a comeback - not counting Farah or Whiteman as they obviously won't be running 1500 in Rio).
Wightman's PB is only a fifth of a second slower and he's younger too. And Lee Emanuel is top Brit this year and has an NCAA 1500 title.
Sooooo...
I lost faith in him when he started training with Farah.
Did Grice go to an American College?

What?
Aside from Mo Farah, Grice is the best the UK has right now. He has won the most and made the World Final last year. He ran 3:35 in a very tactical race in Beijing showing he was in 3:32/3:33 shape at least.
Grice is British champ indoor and out 2015 and indoor 2016.
Baddeley is done. Wightman has done little since his 3:35 hanging on in a perfectly paced DL (but a good bet for the future). O'Hare couldn't make the world final last year and lost to Grice at the British Champs. Lee Emmanuel is slower than Charlie over 1500m on paper and done nothing championship wise.
By what measure is Grice the fourth best 1500m guy in Britain?
