Hey guys, so I'm a senior who just finished up my outdoor track season. I started running late, did xc and indoor junior senior year, and outdoor senior. I'm going to a good D1 college not to run. I'm planning on looking into club running, but chances are I'll be on my own mostly, at least over the summer. Any recommendations for what to train to train for race distance wise? Also, how easy is it to find track races outside of collegiate track that I could run in, similar to a local 5k type thing? The other thing that I guess goes along with what distance is what type of training plan I should do? I'm still expecting to run 4-6 times a week, and I actually have more free time than I did during the season. I never liked the training plan my coach did, so I'd like advice on what sorts of weeks I should do. Thanks for any advice you can give me!
