I feel lost when it comes to run when it comes to time for off-season. My events are the 400m and 800m. Any advice?

Start at the ends and work into the middle.
Speed, strength and aerobic endurance, then work into the hard lactic sessions.
What do you mean by start at the ends, and work into the middle?

If you're going to run a 7 mile run, for example, run the first mile, then the 7th mile, then the 2nd etc. until you eventually finish with the 4th mile.
He means work on top end speed, as well as endurance. Like train like a sprinter some days, a 5k guy the other days. In season is when you train like a middle distance guy.
Not a lot of merit to this though. You can't train opposite ends of the spectrum at the same time.
I'd just get miles in, with hard strides at the end of the easy days.
Getting the miles in and doing hard strides is working both ends of the spectrum.
Also I'd do some hill work. Great way to get some strength in plus hit the weight room hard during the summer
