Better with Jason Isbell or without?
Better with Jason Isbell or without?
Jason Isbell is the only reason to listen to DbT.

With. No question.
The fact that this thread doesn't have more replies shows this message board is in the music Stone Age.
Not sure but JI is definitely better without them
They were better with Isbell and John Neff on pedal steel. But still a very solid band without Isbell. I`ve seen both live and while the Truckers put on a heck of a show, Isbell is better.
Were the Rolling Stones better with Mick Taylor or without.
The Drive By Truckers question is nearly as timely-Didn't Isbell leave (or was kicked out) like a decade ago?
Yeah, nice to see any mention of DBT as they were and continue to be a great band, but kinda a silly question about something pretty old. Just like asking if Wilco was better with Jay Bennett, of course they were. But it's a decade later and they're still pretty good, so life goes on.

Needs time to marinate. Need to see some shows.
Answer is obvious I think but it's not a stale question.
