I excluded R&B style vocal groups and instrumental bands
In order,
1) One Direction
2) Backstreet Boys
3) New Kids on the Block
4) Jackson 5
5) Take That
Overrated - NSYNC (one good album & dance moves)

Excluding R&B is a mistake, as Boyz II Men should be on a top 5 list. They had as many pop chart hits as the Jacksons, and their style game was in on point with the whole east coast prep school look
I really enjoyed O-Town
And I am sure someone will mention 2gether, which despite being a parody act nailed what it takes to be a boy band
1. Backstreet Boys
2. N'Sync
3. Five
4. Boyz II Men
5. NWA
THE BEATLES! END OF THREAD.
Boyz to Men are excluded because they are men, not boys. I would put New Edition ahead of them anyways.
