Hey all, I'm in a pickle right now and would love to seek some extra advice on possibly joining the navy or attending a 4 year university.
So I was accepted to two colleges and might've had the chance to run. However, I got injured and I lost that opportunity. Now, I really wanted to go to college for awhile but I started slacking a bit in school to due to depression, family problems, etc. This was my worst semester of school I've ever had (Senior/ second semester). I then started thinking about the military and what they could offer me like the GI Bill, traveling (Navy), and just getting away from home (have a dysfunctional family). I'm just nervous about the cons like the whole mental aspect of it and taking a lot of orders, and heard deployments can be tough. The colleges are state schools in California where i'd probably have about $40,000+ in student loans. Is it worth it? Should I enlist in the Navy and explore the new opportunities? I've been thinking about this nonstop for the past few days and just keep getting more anxious and nervous. Any advice or questions are appreciated, thanks!!
