Hey guys, so today my track season wrapped up. By the way I am a 15 year old freshman. I did Xc and Spring track this year, and took winter off. I ran a 5:11 for a 2 second pr in 96 degree weather today, so I was pretty content with what I got. As of now, my Prs are:
400: 67 (during repeats, never ran one open, but probably couldn't run faster)
800: 2:21
1600: 5:11
3200: 11:50 (ran once)
5k (xc): 20:56
I ran a 6:13 at the beginning of xc in the mile, and have improved over a minute, so I am prettt happy with my results thus far. I plan on running around 50mpw during the summer, and one track workout per week. These are my goals for the following season:
(Sophmore Year)
5k: 17:00
3200: 10:15
1600: 4:40
800: 2:10
Do you guys think these are possible? Any tips to help me achieve them. I really have no natural talent (I've always been slow and had no stamina) so I really think that if I work hard over the summer my times could drop to these.
