Thanks for the link...they kind of remind me of zoom elite 8s going from Pegs to these has helped a lot. They seem like a good design, Topo another small company I'm planning on supporting seems to have the same "just enough" type construction.
Good looking shoe it looks like a no frills everyday trainer that I would def buy if it was considerably less that my mizunos
They look nice. I would probably buy a pair just to support the start-up. I see that you can also pledge anything from 7 dollars up, but that the best pledge amounts, $85 and $90, that come with a free pair of the Enda shoes, are "All Gone," i.e. no longer available. Bummer. I would have done that for sure.
As for the shoes, everything looks perfect--a roomy toebox, nice upper materials, really nice logo, blown rubber outsole (not long lasting, but really good for traction)--but unless that midsole is more than just regular old EVA, I'll stick with my long-lasting, responsive Adidas Boost and Hoka RMAT midsoles. Supporting a start-up company in a poor country is noble, but the shoes have to be good. Of course, the one thing they really need is for two or three of Kenya's best runners to start wearing the shoes and winning some races.
Hi Shawn!
Weldon from Enda here. Many thanks for the kind words about the design! I'm kinda taken with them myself.
Just so you know, the shoes are still available for $100 on Kickstarter, and beyond that there are a couple of specials - like getting some of the first shoes off the line and being part of a group that gets early access to future prodcuts ->
