I'm a 200/400 runner who is moving up to probably the 4/8 in the college this upcoming year. My 200 pr is 22.97, 400 pr is 50.50 and my 800(I only ran once) is 2:00. I'm going to be running for a medium sized division 2 school next year and will most likely be moving up to the 4 and 8. During the off season I plan only doing short sprint training and weight lifting with little mileage in order to get the speed necessary to perform well in the 400, then train with mid distance in fall/ winter for the endurance I need for the 4 and 8, since endurance in my opinon is easier to gain than speed.
Anyways, a bit off topic from the title: I plan on getting an oxygen mask and weighted vest to help me train during the off season, I was wondering if anyone has any expierence with either one and would reccomend it, or not. Thanks.
