I was wondering how the top tier, cream of the crop D1 teams train in the summer. Obviously its the base phase, I get that. But I thought of it while reading Running With the Buffaloes. How do teams like Colorado, Syracuse, Stanford, and Villanova train in the summer? Just tons of miles, fast or slow? Or fast miles and no workouts? Or just long slow distance? I really am quite curious. I feel like it is a part of yearly training that is super important, but constantly gets overlooked whenever we talk about the training philosophy of these teams
