Hi,
I'm a 25 year old guy, former collegiate runner. About a year ago I began feeling really dead and tired all the time, put on some weight, about 10 pounds (while still training well) and eventually got my blood checked.
I had Iron at 155 and Ferritin at 32, vitamin D at 40. I laid off the running and exercise for the most part and supplemented and recently I have reported in at 144 for Iron and 20 for Ferritin. I was taking something called Hemaplex, one capsule a day with OJ and no dairy. It is loaded with iron, B12, Vitamin C, and lots of other stuff. It was something I had taken in college semi regularly which seemed to help keep me feeling good through my seasons. However, I still feel absolutely dead all the time and things have actually seemed to get worse, since Ferritin is the important one of the bunch.
Any experts out there that know why one would be so high and the other so low, and what I could do to help correct this?
Thank you!
