women's 1500
Alexa in the big race but not Mary Cain!
Does that mean Rupp is doing the 10,000m? (I do presume he could switch and enroll in the 5,000m probably up until raceday, but nonetheless...)

There is no 10000...Rupp not racing Pre
This is so silly. Mo dodging the comp again. Maybe there's a third tier 5k in Scotland or something the same weekend? Kejelcha for the win.

There's a non-DL 10,000 on Friday night
http://preclassic.runnerspace.com/eprofile.php?do=title&title_id=251&event_id=120I'm interested in seeing how Kamworor performs at this distance. We will also get an idea as to whether Kejelcha is better this year, which would make him really good.
"... dodging the comp..." or merely remembering that in Olympic year the only thing that matters is peaking for the Games? Maybe other athletes' programmes call for an elite 5K before the Games or maybe they are chasing a decent payday, whatever. You do have to give Farah credit for knowing how to arrive at major championships in peak form.
Technically he is dodging the comp as before World Half BBC aired an interview where Farah stated he was racing Pre 5k.
Levins in the race too. If Levins doesn't PR this year I could see him leaving NOP, losing his contract, and/or retiring
Hassan Mead needs to step his game up against international competition. He's run 13:02 at Payton Jordan but seems to tank a lot in the big races that time gets him into.
It's also crazy that Lagat is in this race but no one even considers that he'll be a factor. So much has changed.

How does one race interfere with a race months later?
I just want to say this one more time:Ben True will never make an Olympic or World Championships team.ever.it sucks, but, you know. reality

Wasn't Ben True on last year's world team? Hasn't he also a made world cross team?
True made the WC team last summer in the 5000.
Finished 6th there.

Do you even train?
Sure, if ahead of time you plan to race while preparing for the Olympics then of course you can race. But, if that wasn't part of the plan then why interrupt your training schedule? There's nothing to gain and everything to lose.

^^^^this. Instead, he's spending his time running with his cell phone and snapchatting. Priorities change, I guess:

I think you're still stuck in 2013. Not only did he make worlds in the 5k and finish 6th, but he also made the 10k team but opted out.
