Anyone know if they give out scholarship for guys or is it all walk on talent?

Coach B is a frugal dude with his (shamefully for the university and athletic department) limited scholarship budget.
Like most mid-major coaches, packages that include athletic, academic, and other scholarships are developed for targeted recruits to help make the athletic-educational experience less of a financial burden.
Good school. Good program. Both have their limits and challenges to work within.

It's a bad school dude.
Get a scholarship from a better school with a worse program.
Umass Amherst is what I'd suggest within your price range
No, Umass is not the place to go, program is dead.

Please don't make idiotic statements. There are very good reasons to choose either of those public universities. My son and my nephew currently attend UNH, and I have a niece now at UMass Amherst. Each made their decision due to the specific programs and resources available to them for their chosen majors.

Title IX has killed scholarships of any size Forrest Hump.
At least for men. Best bet is have coach get you bogus job. ZooMass is worse than sad UNH.
Thanks for the info all.
They got lit up by the Great Danes on both sides for the America East title today!

Albany has more scholarship money than anyone in the conference. They probably have more than the bottom half of the conference combined. Not really a fair comparison.

Miss Post officially declares Albany a "shithole" and not just because it's full of corrupt New York State politicians.
Seems like a nice mid-major team with a long-term coach who is, by all accounts, a really nice guy. Beautiful campus as well.
They have two girls under 9:50 in the steeple and a guy at 1:47 in the 800m. So, they get a few studs here and there.
"Lit up"? The women put together a phenomenal weekend featuring 8th fastest indoor miler ever in Elinor Purrier racing 5 times. Lost by 8 and probably would have beat the Great Danes if there other sub 9'50" steepler was entered in the 5,000 (easy 10 points/her PR is 16teens)
They have women qualifying for the Olympics and a handful of extremely talented girls making noise on the regional level. Not to mention scoring 160 something points at AE Conference Champs with primarily distance girls.
The men feature a long-time coach who has an incredible way about him. He turns 1:56 kids into 1:47 and 4:02 runners, and a 4:2x miler from NJ into an 8:40 All American Steepler.
UNH has fantastic things going for them with hardly any money on the mens side.
A few years ago I met about 10 different college coaches when my kid was being recruited. Although my son went elsewhere, I have to say Coach B was the coolest coach I met by far. He seemed to emphasize development over recruiting, and took a lot of pride in his alumni in what they do in their lives post college. I wanted my kid to run for him, but he was looking for an academic major UNH didn't have. I'd recommend that coach to anyone just based on the 1 hour I spent with him.
I must say, kudos to that coach.

100% accurate. Meet Boulanger once and you'll immediately sense his commitment to his athletes - past and present.
