So I'm right at the end of my post-track break, and it seems like I've been feeling a lot more injuries/aches and pains as the workload has lessened. For instance, I started feeling what turned out to be a tibial stress fracture after about a month of lower volume/intensity (iron deficiency forced this decrease). And now, during my time off, I've felt lots of other stuff too - the other shin hurts, the side of my foot, and the ball of one foot is acting up periodically again.
Has this happened to anyone else? Could it be like where running sort of masks the injury and it finally shows up when you stop?
