Will Alexi Pappas try to race USATF National Champs and collect USA only money?

She's like me, a Dual citizen to both Greece and the US. She can do both.

Has she competed as a Greek yet?

This season Alexi will be representing Greece in international competition. There are no USA championships between now and Rio that will fit her schedule or stated intention to represent Greece.

I agree. The purpose of USA only money is to help the athletes who are hoping to someday represent USA at the Olympics, World Champs, etc. Alexi has made it clear that she will be representing Greece.

What happens next year when there are no Olympics and she's needing some $$. Will America then be the greener grass and she comes back after using Greece to a compete at the Olympics? With her out of the way you will have a better shot at the dough.

Chances are she will be writing, acting, and film producing so it may be a mute point.

If she continues to pursue athletics I see no reason why she can't compete in USA championships after track season since she is a USA citizen and resident. I don't think her stated commitment to Greece is indefinite. We'll have to wait and see what her plans are.

Once you go Greek...you don't go back.

Yes, I agree that looks pretty stupid. I don't know why I typed "mute" but I do know the difference between it and "moot."

It could be a mute point is the movies she's producing, writing, and acting in are silent. Remember, "The Artist" won the big Oscar a few years ago.
