What is wrong with my leg?

Not trying to freak you out or make you panic, but I'd see a doctor to rule out a stress fracture from reading the information you provided.

Best case scenario: A really bad case of medial shin splints.

Worst case scenario: Tibial stress fracture.

Either way go to a doctor. You're probably going to need a bone scan and/or MRI.

Tibial stress reaction. When you say 3-4 weeks to go way, do you mean you took 3-4 weeks off running? You need rest and then a graduated return to running program. How many weeks off and how slow the graduated return will depend on how bad you've damaged it. Meaning - stop before you make it worse as you will get back to running faster by taking care of it early.

Also, yes, definitely go see a sports medicine doctor he/she will better explain the signs for when you are cleared to resume a running program again.

- WTF do you mean "the underside of the bone"

- Could be a stress fracture

- KT tape is not going to do jack for a boney injury, if that's what it is

First off, pics?

Second, Your right leg generates the power in track and could be getting overworked.

I'm not sure the doctor didn't tell me. It's one section of the muscle that is on the left side of my leg right next to the bone. He told me it could be because of something in my shoes or the way i run. He suggested KT tape and frequent icing.

I know this sounds extremely ignorant of me to say, but most doctors, sports trainers, etc. suck at diagnosing running injuries.

Tender spot on inner tibia, hurts to hop on leg ---> 99% change of being stress fracture
