Thanx so much for feedback!
I have Daniels book, the 2nd ed.
I get a feeling that his training seems to be geared more towards seasoned pros or semi-pros than amateurs.
Running 4 or less times per week, I Think it does not really matter if the Intervals are threashold or Interval pace. Also its hard to know the difference between those paces as right now I am not fit enough to know my body that well.
On the other hand, a runner who trains 6 or more times a week could benefit more from J.Daniels approach. I Think.
Still, I Think I will aim for Daniels pace when doing Intervals (The pace I can run for 11-13 minutes....I guess it would be around 3 to 3,5 km). So I guess it means that if I do 5 minutes reps I should be able to do Another 5 min rep straight after previous one without the recovery...if pressed...I mean I should
The other book I read was "Build Your Running Body". I like the writing more than Jack Daniels but the content is somewhat too complex.
I like it more simple. SOmething like this; do 2-3 distance runs a week (conversational pace or very easy), one hard session (interval or threashold) or one long run or one session with hill reps or a hill run. Add strides to the distance runs. Something like that.
