how do you know the whole workout....?
My very good friend is in South Africa currently training with Philippe's group.
The jog was so slow that it was just full recovery.

Hahahaha! So you know allllll about elite training, do you? I suppose we'll see you in Rio?
Everyone in Phillipe's group are being spoon fed PED's. Just look at the guys coaching history and busted athletes under him. Who cares if he can run 400's at 52 on drugs.

Kiprop still embarrasses Ramz-- I mean Smakhloufi (when he's not hurt). I'd rather see the gangly martian get his second gold even if it takes another doping dq 😒
Yawn.
Somebody call JAKIR.
this
this too
I like Mak, the guy has great personality. A big heart, you can tell he's a fan of the sport and likes his rivals.
But he showed Asbel his patented move from 300 out at worlds. Despite bad tactics, Kiprop mowed him down in the stretch. Can't see this playing out different in Rio.
Makhloufi may turn out to test positive eventually, but for the time being it is fun to see this guy work. He has guts, he doesn't just show up at worlds or olympics with no other performances like Ramzi, he has personality, and he lets some of his workouts be shown. When he went at the Olympics in 2012, no one could touch him, whereas at World's he was facing a lot of sub 3:30 guys and a 3:26.7 guy ran him down, as well as two other really good guys, but if he had moved up a bit more smoothly and then waited to go hard about 50m, he might well have held off all but Kiprop. Or if he had built up a bit during that first 100m instead of going all out there, he wouldn't have died the last 50m.
Everyone is suspicious of Makhloufi when Kiprop trains in Kenya where EPO is literally available from any doctor for $30. Virtually no out of season drug testing whatsoever. Corruption runs through Kenyan athletics to the core, from high ranking officials, the anti-doping authorities, coaches and the athletes themselves.
Algeria hasn't even had anywhere near the amount of doping controversy as even the USA.
The Kenyans are dominating track and field, have little to no anti-doping measures in place despite raking in money from their success, and everyone on Letsrun celebrates Kiprop, Rudisha, Kipchoge, Kamworor, Kemboi etc etc whilst calling out 'obvious' dopers like Farah, Makhloufi, Iguider even Centrowitz lol.
The irony is thick.

It's a lot easier to make gutsy moves when you're doped af.
My favorite Smakhloufi moment was when he prematurely celebrated then lost a race. Or when he faked an injury at the Olympics then screwed around for a W. Dude sure is a class act. Just what the sport needs. Flash. Pizazz. And drugs.
I will confess it's cool to see his doped workouts.

I'm sorry but it has been known for a long, long time that this guy is dirty! He may be clean now, but in 2011 & 2012 his veins were pumped with PED's! Like Gatlin, he's benefitting from past abuse - I won't accept anything he accomplishes as legitimate.
drugs or not. long 200m shuffle recovery or not, that's a tough a@@ workout
i bet most people on letsrun have never been able to even run one 52 second 400m

Hang on - I must have missed something. Who 'knows' it? And what it is that they 'know'?
all of mahkloufi's workouts are DOPE. get it??? bc of all the doping he does!!
Frederico Rosa is the manager of Asbel Kiprop.Jos Hermens is the manager of Makhloufi. No irony.
