Can someone explain why they were covered in KT tape including forearms and biceps?
Thanks!

Less exposed skin for would-be saboteurs to rub androgel onto.
People in Iowa may seem nice, but you have to watch your back.

Saw it as well. Very interesting and it certainly didn't help their races.

I had to use a little over the past few months while working in a pt clinic. I hated the stuff. It was a pain to put on, and patient's pain levels were never significantly different when wearing k tape vs not wearing it. It's supposed to be used. for an injured muscle or joint. I have no clue why a runner would need it on anything above the waist.
Probably some new crazy salazar theory about elbow angle or wrist carriage.

This.
But how did we go so long without this reply... Pics?

Only Salazar would be dumb enough to be "correcting" form in April of an Olympic year.
Seriously. How many athletes has he worked with in the past four years? 20? And how many will make the team this summer? 2?
Terrible record for the best recruiter but single WORST developer of elite athletes in the US. (Honestly, tell me who has a worse record with elites than old "dream-wrecker." The only man alive who could somehow keep Dathan Ritzenhein and Mary Cain OFF of the Olympic team!)

My theory (with zero inside knowledge) is that they were using the tape because of the cold temps, maybe to keep muscles warm/loose?
I don't know enough about science or physiology to tell you whether that makes sense or not though.
Based on the photo of Cain, I'd guess it is for motion tracking purposes.

No, it's her way of saying "hey, look at me, I'm not 100% healthy, but I'm toughing it out".

Seeing how it's positioned on the sides of the limbs, and just about centered midway down each limb segment, this may actually be the correct answer.
KT Tape has worked great for my knee and IT band problems. It's basically like wearing a very thin brace. Although I don't buy into the increase blood flow thing that they try to sell it as.

You seem to have lost your counting abilities.
NOP will likely send at least 4 athletes to Rio:
Farah
Rupp
Centowitz
Rowbury
A few others who may well be in Rio
Jenkins
Levins
Osako
Des Linden: "The entire sport" has changed since she first started running Boston.
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
Ryan Eiler, 3rd American man at Boston, almost out of nowhere
Matt Choi was drinking beer halfway through the Boston Marathon
