Ridiculous. The 10,000 then marathon is conceivable. HOw do you do the marathon and then 10,000.

Ahem, by running them.
PEDS
You can run them, but how will you do?
100 days out, Rupp may be just focusing on Rio...
Now you want Rupp to emulate a doper? The shills never cease to amaze.

Yes a role model ought to teach you how to make poor training decisions just for the sake of showing how "tough" you are. Just like it's tough to lead a whole race then get your doors blown off the last lap because you did all the work. Letsrun: where winning is doping and over training/racing is a good thing.
Kenyan newspapers aren't the most reliable of sources - let's see first of all if she actually turns up and second of all if it is a serious race effort or not. She may not have a choice given it is her employers championship but that doesn't mean it will be an all out effort.

And Sungong will DNF at Rio (if even qualified)
It is not unusual.
One week after running my fastest marathon, on a tough course and hot day, I won a 10000 meter race on the track.

It is unusual. Just providing one supposed counter-example doesn't make something unusual become commonplace.
Risk of burnout/injury looms!
although, didn't Lasse Viren race and win a 2 mile in Philadelphia a couple days after the Olympic marathon?

Yes, but he was running against Americans.so he just had to jog.

Maybe Rupp should switch management to Frederico Rosa or to Gianni Demadonna also.
Then the choice is to decide to maybe switch to Claudio Berardelli as coach or to stay with Alberto as coach.
Tough decision.

Yeah blood doping will do that for you
The first is for money. The second is the chance to be considered for the Olympic team.

It's not unusual for people who do it.
The complete list of elite runners winning a major marathon and following up with a high-level race result a week later:
💩
Do we yet any information that she actually ran and if she did if it was indeed a high level race?
